Prefer current Part 135 PIC Qualified

Serve as final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft (FAR 91.3).

Directs the activities of the SIC when one is assigned, and the flight attendant when one is assigned, ensuring that flight crewmembers understand fully and completely what individual duties they are expected to perform.

Maintains a current Class I medical certificate as required by the company, and will immediately notify the Chief Pilot if a medical (physical or mental) condition exists that may impair his/her ability to perform the flight.

5500 flight hours total time
3500 flight hours as PIC (as defined by FAR 61.51(e))

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver's license is required. Airline transport pilot license is required.

Other Skills and Abilities
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Other Qualifications
Ability to obtain an airport security badge is required. Ability to travel 60% is required. Class I medical certification, clear criminal and aircraft accident history are required. Military or airline experience is preferred.
