Perform Fire Scout Pilot/Payload duties for the Fire Scout program. Serve as Fire Scout pilot/payload operator for launch, recovery, and sensor operations segments of Fire Scout missions as required. Maintain FAA medical certification and Commercial Instrument pilot certifications and currencies. Participate with customer staff in planning and execution of Fire Scout flight operations as directed. Produce weekly flight schedule for Fire Scout Team. Maintain aircrew training and qualification records. Track and monitor aircrew qualifications. Develop and administer Operations Department training plan. Perform other additional duties as required.

Tests aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. Operates models of test aircraft during engineering flight tests, production acceptance, and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Coordinates flight operations efforts. Approves cockpit configuration. May conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel aboard to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.

Minimum Requirements :

Education, Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an appropriate technical discipline and three (3) years of relevant experience as defined below OR; An Associate’s Degree in an appropriate technical discipline and seven (7) years of relevant experience Certification in an appropriate technical discipline OR; Eleven (11) years of relevant experience. Must be eligible for US DoD Secret security clearance.
