At the captain’s direction, act as liaison with passengers to be certain: - Flight manifest contains correct schedule - Passenger ground transportation needs have been met - Any special meal or catering requests are accommodated Assist the captain in communicating all available information to passengers regarding weather, route of flight, any possible delays, turbulence, etc. Ensure passengers are given a complete safety briefing prior to departure. Ensure preflight inspections are performed. When assigned by the captain: - Study weather conditions at departure airport, en route, destination airport, and alternate airports. - Prepare and file a flight plan. - Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts. Ensure that the aircraft is clean and properly stocked with all provisions for the safety and comfort of passengers. Use checklists in accordance with FAA regulations and company policy.
Minimum Requirements :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
Possess at least the following:
Commercial pilot certificate, instrument rating, single and multi engine landing and appropriate type or class ratings. Posses a first class FAA medical certificate issued by an FAA medical examiner renewed annually.
Possess a minimum of:
3000 hours flight time
1500 hours pilot-in-command time
100 hours turbine time
750 hours multi-engine time
150 hours night time
100 hours instrument time
If above time requirements are not met, pilot shall be limited to serving as copilot.
High school graduation required.
SKILL PREFERENCES – HOW YOU CAN STAND OUT College degree or advanced education preferred. International flying experience highly preferred.
